I ordered this as a gift and it came beautifully packed in a velvet case. There was even an option to have it personalized, which was a nice added touch. It’s very well-made and packaged well. Would recommend!

A lot of things to like about this product, but there are a couple of concerns that I'd like to voice. 1. Quality control/Assembly. The board looks great at first glance, but after just a couple of minutes of inspecting it I could find a number of imperfections from the assembly process (i.e., the 8x8 tiles were not carefully sealed together, resulting in cracks/gaps in the grout between tiles). 2. One of my bishops is rather gnarled up on the base 3. Customer service has been dismissive on my questions/concerns. When I reached out about these points, they just pointed to that I bought it during a 25% discount, that these are handmade, and that there is "variations" in the marble. I am happy to tolerate variations, but these issues seem like a lack of quality control before shipping.

Beautiful chess set! All others I looked at were either cheaply made or much more expensive. This is a high quality set for a decent price.
